Run Sandringham looks forward to welcoming hundreds of runners of all abilities and ages to Sandringham Estate, for a 24 hour trail running relay event.

Taking place on 19-21 August 2022, and a new event in the East Anglian running calendar, Run Sandringham 24 will attract a large field of runners of all abilities to the Winter Residence of Her Majesty the Queen, to run a 24 Hour Race around the Royal Sandringham Estate and surrounding trails, while raising thousands of pounds for good causes.

With a Start/Finish and large Event village with camping and facilities within the Sandringham Estate, the event boasts a super scenic route with stunning views of the Royal Estate, Norfolk Countryside, and Royal Parkland.

A huge army of volunteers will make this superb event possible over the 3 day period. Volunteering is extremely rewarding and you don’t need any previous experience to take part.

Don't miss it!

Registration Open: 8.00AM Saturday (Friday timings to be confirmed in Event Guide)

Event Start: 12:00:00PM Saturday

Final lap may begin: 11:59:59AM Sunday 21st

Presentations: 1.30PM Sunday 21st

The event will also host a FREE kids race on the Friday evening at 6.30PM.

A bespoke medal, and goodie bag will be available to all runners. This event is chip timed, so please ensure your bib number is on display at all times.

Trophies are awarded to the winning male and female, as well as team prizes, and a premium momento for any solo runner completing more than 100 miles in the 24 hour period.

The race will start and finish within the Sandringham Estate, and take in the stunning countryside views of Sandringham, and the Royal Parkland. The course will be marshalled and clearly signposted. Unfortunately due to the nature of the route, no pets, wheelchairs or prams are able to be used within the race.

The Event Village will be open from 10:00am on Friday. Further details regarding race packs will be made available nearer the event, and you will need to line up in the queue designated by your surname. Runners MUST write their name, any medical condition, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number where requested.

The course is mainly on the trails through the parkland and surrounding the estate. Although the race route follows along some roads, they are not closed to traffic. The trail is also narrow in some places. Please follow all signage and Marshal’s directions at all times and keep to the left unless instructed otherwise.

There is a time limit of the course being open for 25 hours from Midday Saturday – all laps must be completed by 1.00PM on Sunday.

Medical teams will be present onsite - if you feel pain, experience dizziness or any other symptoms immediately stop running and seek help from a marshal, who can radio through for medical assistance.

There will be a water station out on the course at approximately 2.5 miles. Run Sandringham is a sustainable plastic free event - so please bring refillable bottles where possible, and we can refill these at the designated water stations on route.

Bone conducting headphones though are permitted – so long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly.

Appropriate footwear should be worn. The routes are a mix of road and trail.

Unfortunately, refunds are not available, but if you are unable to run on the day, transfers are available on the website until 23:59 on 29th July 2022. After this date, PLEASE DO NOT pass your race number to someone else. If this is identified, both the runner and ‘new runner’ will be disqualified, banned from future races and referred to the permit regulators.

Ample parking is available at the Sandringham Estate, based just off the B1440 – entrance is at what3words location ///wider.throw.towel

The organisers accept no responsibility for runners vehicles, contents, or baggage.

Photos and video will be taken on the day, and details shared with runners in the post race email and on social media.

Entries are non-refundable and the transfer window is now closed.
