Description: A flat, fast, traffic free course around the airfield taxi way, giving lots of opportunities for speed.

Race Number Collection: Collect from Event Registration on the day
Event HQ and Registration opening: Registration open from 08:00 am
Event Entry: Riders will assemble at the airfield entrance at Crash Gate 1 - What3words reference: tags.removers.output. from where they will be escorted round to the Start/Finish.
Race Start and Finish: On the airfield ‘B Dispersal’ were toilets and refreshments will be available.
Event Details: The event will comprise an 80 km (approx. 50 mile) circuit of the airfield taxiway, some of which will also include elements of runway. All types of cycle are welcome and riders can challenge themselves as to what distance they can cover, with the target being 80km. Stops for toilets and refreshments are allowed. Those riders who decide to finish early are welcome to do so and will assemble at the finish, for escorting off the airfield. There will also be a cut-off time of 4.30 hours at which point all riders will be escorted off the airfield.
Sweep Vehicle: A roving sweep vehicle will be present to assist any riders who suffer punctures or mechanical problems requiring them to cease riding
Medals: Attractive commemorative Dambusters 80th Anniversary medal and goody bag for every entrant given out at the end.
Parking: Parking available on the Black Top Carpark, sign posted on the way in.
Bag drop: Please note – there will be no formal bag drop at race HQ but the car park is just a short distance from the race start and entrants will also be welcome to leave belongings at own risk at Event HQ. However, we encourage you to only bring / wear what you will require for the event and can take no responsibility for belongings left at Event HQ or in your vehicles.
Security: Riders will not be allowed entrance wearing rucksacks and in addition, no photography is allowed, this also including ‘Go-Pros’. Official photographers will be on duty and photographs of the event will be made available.
Refreshments: Tea and coffee and cakes will be available at the Start/Finish and at Event HQ for which we will be seeking donations to the RAF Central Funds and the RAF Association.
Toilets: Portaloos will be available at Event HQ and at the event Start/Finish.
Timing: This is an untimed event with riders being responsible for recording their own times and distances.
Prizes: Spot prizes will be awarded by random selection of those taking part.
If, due to unforeseen operational reasons, it is necessary to cancel the event, it will be re-scheduled to a later date to which entries will automatically be transferred.
Entries are non-refundable and the transfer window is now closed.
