NUTS Leap year challenge

A virtual challenge for the NUTS (Norfolk Ultra Training Support) group starting on the leap day, in a leap year, Thursday 29th February 2024.

Choose from one of the distances below.  If you are not completing challenge on the 29th February then you have until 31/12/2024 to complete your distance.

29 miles+ on the 29th February 2024 (Thursday)
29 kilometres + on the 29th February 2024 (Thursday)

29 miles+ from 1/3/2024 to the 31st December 2024
29 kilometres + from 1/3/2024 to the 31st December 2024
 

You do not need to provide Strava evidence, this is a trust-based training challenge however we do love seeing photos and evidence of your runs, walks and shuffles posted as much as you like on our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/439607496483644

You can run, walk, or shuffle your chosen distance. It must be done on foot and does not include walking around at work, commuting to work on foot however is acceptable. Please take care on roads, Hi-Viz and lights are advisable especially after dark.  Take liquid and snacks with you as necessary.

All entrants take part in this virtual challenge at their own risk.

There will be a photo competition for with spot prizes, for pictures of you out and about ‘leaping ‘please keep an eye on the NUTS Facebook page for these.

Entry is £10 and includes a large chunky 82mm wooden medal with coloured printed NUTS ribbon which will be sent to you in within 2 weeks of you letting us know you have completed your challenge through the Total Race Timing website This is not a race so no need to tell us your time just that you have completed and how far!

Any leftover money after paying for the medals & ribbons, postage and spot prizes will be donated to the NUTS group good cause, The Mirkwood Rest Home for Retired Sheep.
