Set in the beautiful surroundings of the former RAF Great Massingham and with grateful permission of the Leicester House Farm, West Norfolk Athletic Club presents a new FLAT and FAST 5K race for 2025.

Cash prizes for top three male and female finishes with age group winners gaining free entry to the following years race!

This years race is raising money to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance

We have also teamed up with Purfleet Pantry, a local food bank based in King's Lynn. Their team will be with us on race day and if you'd like to donate your finishing refreshments to this worthy cause you can. You can also bring food donations on the day too! Any left over refreshments will also be donated to the Purfleet Pantry.

Our course!

It’s a single lap course incorporating the perimeter track and runways of the airfield. A fully run-able concrete surface offers a PB potential. Chip timing giving you on the spot results!

As the course is on private land no recce runs are permitted.

Not suitable for wheelchair racers.

Please respect the airfield by keeping it clean and tidy.

Race distance and start times

10:00 – Start time.

5km – Certificate of Measured Course to UKA standards.

No cut off time.

Minimum age is 11 years old up to veteran ages.

On site facilities

There will be refreshments available on the day, first aid, toilets and a bag drop if needed.

Unfortunately we don’t have any changing facilities but the car park is conveniently located very close to the start area.

Prizes & goodies

Cash prizes for top three male and female finishes – 1st £40, 2nd £20, 3rd £10.

Age group winners will gain free entry to the following years race. U17, Senior,V35,  V40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65+ male and female.

All finishes will receive a unique Fighter 5k sew-on military style patch. Along with welcoming refreshments for when you cross the line!
