Run Banham Zoo (5k)

Come join us for an unforgettable 5K run at Banham Zoo! Where you'll venture through our scenic grounds before completing the final lap around the perimeter of the zoo. Along the way, you'll run past kangaroos, emus, giraffes, maned wolves, vultures, llamas, sitatunga, gelada baboons, lemurs, penguins, howler monkeys, meerkats, and more!

Please note, that to ensure animal welfare, some exhibits will be off-show during the race.

Race entry includes full-day access to the zoo, and discounted tickets are available for spectators to enjoy the festivities. Runners of all abilities are welcome, so lace up your shoes and expect a wild atmosphere on race day—come and be part of the first annual Run Banham Zoo event.

Waves

This year we will be splitting the race into two waves at 9:30 & 10:00. You can choose which wave you want when entering.

Parking: Free parking is available at Banham Zoo, Kenninghall Road, NR16 2HE

Number collection: Race numbers collection days will be arranged nearer the race, we'll email with details. 

Bag drop: There will be a designated area for storing bags, but please note that it will be at the runners' own risk.

Refreshments: Stay refreshed with hydration stations provided throughout the racecourse. After the race, quench your thirst and refuel with a selection of drinks, bacon rolls, and vegetarian options available for purchase.

Prizes: Prize to be awarded to the fastest male & female runner in child & adult categories, and to the runner who raises the most sponsorship money

Every participant will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line.

Race Start and Finish: Registration opens outside the Welcome Centre at 8am. Runners and spectators will gather on the grass until 9am, when the runners' warm-up session will begin."

The course is mostly flat and runs across grass and footpaths.

Minimum age requirement: 11years old. Under 11s must be accompanied by an adult.

Buggy runners are not permitted.

Before participating in the race, please take a moment to review our Code of Conduct (see below) to ensure a fair and smooth event for all participants.

Runners of all abilities are welcome, so lace up your shoes and join us at Banham Zoo for a wild time.
