Location: Rauceby Estate
Rauceby Estate is a 2000-acre estate with Rauceby Hall at its epicentre, which is surrounded by 71 acres of idyllic Parkland. Rauceby Hall is a grade II listed Jacobethan style property built in 1843 as the seat of Anthony Peacock Willson. The property has been in the same family for the past 181 years. Anthony was a merchant banker and was involved in the funding of the Navigation amongst many other lucrative projects. The Navigation is a canal that connected the market town of Sleaford (an international seed production centre) with the river Witham to transport goods to Boston and further afield. Rauceby Hall was designed by the Scottish architect William Burn. He had a part in the construction of Stoke Rochford Hall and Revesby Abbey which share many of the architectural features with Rauceby.
Rauceby Estate has for many years hosted the Rauceby Ripper a 9-mile race across the Rauceby Estate and neighbouring Estates. Rauceby Hall Events are excited to be launching this new event the 10K Rauceby Estate Run. The course is approximately 10 kilometres (just over 6 miles) long and a completely new all-terrain route. It includes at least 25% private land which has never hosted a race before, together with rural footpaths. The event will be held on Boxing Day (Thursday 26 December) and will be open to up to 300 athletes. Rauceby Hall Events looks forward to welcoming you on Boxing Day for a fun filled morning.
Entries are non-refundable and unfortunately cannot be deferred but transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 11/12/2024. Login to transfer your entry.
