Boghopper Races are thrilled to announce their first beginner friendly Trail Marathon and Half Marathon. We have taken over the race from Positive Steps PT after many successful years.

The Course

The Full Marathon follows the Marriott’s Way from Norwich with the Half Marathon starting at Whitwell and Reepham Station.  An easy to follow route on a traffic free course. Runners and walkers welcome, with generous time allowances. The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore the distances are approximate.

Race Info

7.30 - 8.30am Marathon registration and start Marriott's Way start, nr Barker Street, Norwich.

8.30 - 9.30am - Half Marathon registration and start at Whitwell and Reepham Station, Reepham.

1. Marathon start at 09:00 with 8 hours to reach the finish.
2. Half marathon start at 10:00 with 4 hours to reach the finish.
3. Limited to 300 participants.
4. Minimum age on race day: Marathon - 18 years, Half marathon 17 years
5. A unique medal to all finishers
6. Race number collected on the day.
7. Water provided on the route at approx.10km intervals.
8. Snacks at half way (marathon only)
9. First aid services
10. Hot drinks and snacks at the finish in Aylsham Town Hall
11. Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers in both Female and Male/Open categories, in both races.

This event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics Rules. Permit number tbc.

Entry Fees (no booking fee)

Full Marathon - UKA Member   - £43
Full Marathon - Non UKA Member - £45

Half Marathon - UKA Member - £33
Half Marathon - Non UKA Member - £35

A 5% donation from each entry will be made to East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

A £2 fee reduction is given if you are a UK Athletics member (England, Scotland , Wales or  Northern Ireland), just select the correct box (this will be verified).

Entries are non-refundable and unfortunately cannot be deferred but transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 23/02/2025. Login to transfer your entry.
