Thompson Millennium Green 10k run

The Thompson Millennium Green 10k is a multi-terrain route run through the picturesque pathways, lanes and bridleways in and around Thompson. The route starts on the Green using tracks across farmland and byroads before joining the Griston Road, passing the Chequers pub before returning to the Green. The runners carry on down a further byroad to Peddars Way before coming back to the Green for their finish.  It is a fairly flat course providing the perfect opportunity for a 10k PB over a measured course.

There is a 1hr 30 cut off.

Prizes: Bespoke medals for all runners

Prize giving 12.45pm

Registration open: 9.30am

Start time: 11am

Race Entry: £16 affiliated and £18 non affiliated

Facilities: Refreshments, toilets, parking and unattended baggage area.

Water station approx. 6/7k and at the finish

This race is NOT chip timed. Entries are non-refundable.

All profits from the 10K & 5k runs will be donated to Thompson Millennium Green to help with the maintenance and development of this open green space for the benefit of the flora, fauna and communities that use it.

Age limits: Entrants for this event must be aged 11 years or older for the 5k and 15 years or older for the 10k, on race day.

The 10K runners will be started first, with 5K runners starting fifteen minutes afterwards.

Medical teams will be present onsite - if you feel pain, experience dizziness or any other symptoms immediately stop running and seek help from a marshal, who can radio through for medical assistance.

There will be at least 1 water stations out on the course for the 10K (unfortunately not for the 5K). Please bring refillable bottles where possible, and we can refill these at the designated water station on route.

In ear Headphones are banned from the race. Bone conducting headphones though are permitted as per England Athletics rules – so long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly.
