Set in the beautiful surroundings of the former RAF Great Massingham and with grateful permission of the Leicester House Farm, West Norfolk Athletic Club presents a flat and fast 5K race for 2026.

Cash prizes for top three male and female finishes with age group winners gaining free entry to the following years race!

Where does your money go?

This years race is raising money to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance, along with supporting the local food bank, The Purfleet Pantry.

The Fighter 5k is a ‘grass roots’ event, run by runners for runners and we’re all volunteers.

This is a fully licenced England Athletics event and officially measured.

On race day

Please arrive in plenty of time and follow the directions from the parking marshals.

Race registration is open from 08:30am

No entries on the day.

Our course!

It’s a single lap course incorporating the perimeter track and runways of the airfield. A fully run-able concrete surface offers a PB potential. Chip timing giving you on the spot results!

As the course is on private land no recce runs are permitted.

No drones allowed. 

Not suitable for wheelchair racers.

Please respect the airfield by keeping it clean and tidy.

Prizes & goodies

Cash prizes for top three male and female finishes – 1st £40, 2nd £20, 3rd £10.

Any male or female course record being broken will receive a £50 bonus. If no record is broken the £50 will roll over to the following year until a maximum of £250. Any unclaimed monies thereafter will be donated to the EAAA and the course record bonus set back to £50. Age graded performances are not accepted.

Age group winners will gain free entry to the following years race U17, Senior,V35, V40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65+ male and female. Any age group winners from the previous years race will be contacted only once via email to claim their entry discount code, and will have until 1st January to respond. After this date we can’t guarantee a place will be available due to the high demand of the race. 

Cash prize winners are not granted a free entry to the following years race.

All finishes will receive a unique Fighter 5k sew-on military style patch. Along with welcoming refreshments for when you cross the line!
