Run Sandringham looks forward to welcoming thousands of runners of all abilities and ages to the Royal Estate, to run a Half Marathon, 5K or Community Mile, and will aim to raise many thousands of pounds for good causes.

Taking place on Sunday 27th September 2026 and organised by Good Running Events, Run Sandringham is a major event in the 2026 East Anglian running calendar. With a start and finish within the Royal estate, the event boasts a super scenic route around the grounds of Sandringham Estate, The Royal Family’s winter retreat, including passing immediately in front of Sandringham House.

Don't miss it!

Registration Open: 8.00am
5k Start: 9.00am
Half Marathon Start: 10.00am
Community Mile Start: 12:15pm

Age limits -
4 years or older for Community Mile - all under 11s to be accompanied by an adult.
11+ for the 5K, and 17+ for the Half Marathon.

A bespoke medal, and finish goodies will be available to all runners. Chip Timing is in operation on the Half Marathon & 5K only.

Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female runners, and first in each age category.

The main race will start and finish within the Sandringham Estate, and take in the stunning countryside views of Sandringham, and the Royal House and Park. The course will be marshalled and clearly signposted. Unfortunately due to the nature of the route, no pets, wheelchairs or prams are able to be used within the race.

The Event Village will be open from 8:00am. Further details regarding race packs will be made available nearer the event. On receipt of your bib number, Runners MUST write their name, any medical condition, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number where requested.

The course is mainly on the trails through and surrounding the estate, as well as closed roads that are traffic free. Please follow all signage and Marshal’s directions at all times and keep to the left unless instructed otherwise. There is no time limit on this event, although you may be directed to the pavement if you do not reach 10 miles within 3.5 hours to allow roads to reopen on time.

Medical teams will be present onsite - if you feel pain, experience dizziness or any other symptoms immediately stop running and seek help from a marshal, who can radio through for medical assistance.

There will be at least 4 water stations out on the course. Run Sandringham is a sustainable plastic free event - so please bring refillable bottles where possible, and we can refill these at the designated water stations on route.

In ear Headphones are banned from the race. Bone conducting headphones though are permitted – so long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly.

The event is licensed via the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.

Appropriate footwear should be worn. The routes are a mix of closed road and trail.

Unfortunately, refunds are not available, but if you are unable to run on the day, transfers are available on the website until 23:59 on 13th September 2026. After this date, PLEASE DO NOT pass your race number to someone else. If this is identified, both the runner and ‘new runner’ will be disqualified, banned from future races and referred to the permit regulators.

Ample parking is available at the Sandringham Estate, based just off the B1440 – entrance is at what3words location ///wider.throw.towel

Premium parking option based in the event village next to the start line available for a small fee.

The organisers accept no responsibility for runners vehicles, contents, or baggage. Further details about any baggage and key drop facilities will be confirmed within the pre race instructions email – sent one week before the event.

Photos and video will be taken on the day, and details shared with runners in the post race email and on social media.

Entries are non-refundable and unfortunately cannot be deferred but transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 13/09/2026. Login to transfer your entry.
