Breckland 10k

The Breckland 10km is Thetford Athletics signature race and is part of the Sportslink Grand Prix series for 2026. The course is set in and around the pretty village of Croxton, near Thetford, and is run along gently undulating country lanes.

The course is marshalled by our fantastic club members and is well signed. There are water stations at the halfway mark and at the finish, along with the very much needed sponge station at the 8km mark.

There is a 1hr 30 cut off.

Minimum age for entry is 15

Safety: The race takes place on open country roads, so all runners must listen and follow instructions given by our marshals.  They are there to keep you safe, therefore any runner found not complying with safety advice will be disqualified. In addition, as per UK Athletic rules T55 S5, the wearing of headphones or similar devices (other than those that are medically prescribed) is not permitted on shared usage courses i.e open roads. The use of bone conductor headphones, which do not sit in or on the ears is accepted, but participants must be vigilant and still be able to hear instructions from the marshals and be aware of traffic noise. Any runner found wearing any other type of headphones will be disqualified. Please be safe and sensible!

Facilities: Refreshments provided by our fantastic cafe run by our club members. There are toilets at the village hall and additional portaloos are provided. There is designated parking, which is a two minute walk from race HQ. Bag drop is available, but is unattended throughout the race.
Water station approx 5/6km and at the finish, and sponge station at 8km.
