Piggy Plod Facebook Group: The Piggy Plod Half Marathon 2026 | Facebook
We are excited to host our first ever Piggy Plod Half Marathon! It’s a virtual event during May and June 2026, raising funds for Dean Farm Trust Animal Sanctuary in Chepstow. The sanctuary rescued its first animals in 2013 and now has around 200 happy residents.
Run or walk 13.1 miles on a route of your choice in one go, or you can spread your 13.1 Miles over multiple “runs”.
You can complete your half marathon any time between 1st May and 30th June 2026.
Your entry fee includes an e-certificate and a bespoke 6cm Piggy Plod medal (if opted for). Piggy Plod ‘race’ bibs will be available for you to print and wear on your run.
Once you have completed your run/walk simply log back into the Total Race Timing website and manually put in your finishing time along with a link to your Strava or Garmin if you wish (last run walk if you do more than one).
Medals will be posted after you have completed your 13.1 miles and recorded your time with Total Race Timing.
This event is organised by Bristol Vegan Runners, but open to everyone.
The entry fee is £16, and all profit will be donated directly to Dean Farm Trust, minus the booking fees, medal and postage costs. You can choose to not have a medal and more of the entry fee will go to Dean Farm (£3.40 plus postage/packing). Or if you want a medal but want more of your entry fee to go to Dean Farm then you can donate to the JustGiving page linked below.
If you want to do a little more fundraising, we have set up this Just Giving page as a place where you can donate the cost of your medal back to the sanctuary or get sponsorship for your run:

Any queries regarding the event please email: piggyplod@proton.me
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
All entrants complete the 13.1 miles at their own risk so please stay safe. May and June can be hot so it’s advisable to take liquid or plan a route where you can get a drink. Hi-Viz is advisable if you are running near or crossing roads. Choose the safest time of day to run based on weather conditions, let someone know the route you are taking etc. Maybe organise a group run/walk where you can complete the Piggy Plod with friends.
Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
