Great Yarmouth Road Runners are once again proud to bring you this popular summer-time half marathon around a few quiet country lanes of Norfolk and Suffolk and through the majestic Somerleyton Hall.

As in previous years the event is a Norfolk County Championship race and the 11th and penultimate race in the SPORTLINK GRAND PRIX 2026.

Great Yarmouth Half Marathon. 10am start time

An undulating half marathon starting and finishing at the race HQ looping round Ashby, Lound, Somerleyton and running through the grounds of the beautiful Somerleyton Hall.

There will be plenty of water stations along the route.

Race HQ which is also the start and finish line.

Facilities include parking, hall to collect numbers, ample toilets, large warm up area, refreshments in the canteen and a raffle.

Age group and team trophies available too.

Limitations:

Due to road closures, marshalling and first aid provisions, this event has a 3 hour cut-off. Anyone finishing after this time may need to continue on public foot paths and without marshal support etc. However for those this may impact, we are offering an early wave start at 9:30. Please indicate your interest in the early wave start by ticking the appropriate checkbox during sign-up.

Note: anyone taking part in the early wave start will not be eligable for any race, Norfolk County Championship or Sportlink prizes, awards, points or trophies etc.

Minimum age on race day is 17.

FINALLY: as this event is on open roads we cannot allow any headphones including bone conductors as you need to listen out for traffic and marshals instructions.
