Wymondham New Year’s Day 10k

Set in the beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Wymondham, the race takes place on undulating and quiet rural roads. The race starts and finishes on Lady’s Lane.  Refreshments and cake are provided and the support from the enthusiastic marshals is second to none. Minimum age requirement on the day for all entrants is 15 years old.

Water & Medals :        There will be water available at the finish along with a water station situated at approximately halfway. Also at the finish line will be some snacks and an attractive and bespoke medal for all runners.

Spectator diversion :               No spectators will be allowed down Lady’s Lane during the race, if you have any loved ones with you, please ensure they are aware of the diversion before the day if they want to cheer you on from the top of Lady’s Lane as you return. We will be adding this to our website and will send out a map before the day.

Parking :           Full directions for all of the local car parks in the area are detailed on our Wymondham AC Races Facebook page and also on our website at NYD 10k. Please avoid parking on residential roads and please allow plenty of time to park, pick up your race number and be at the start line on time.

Headphones :              Headphones of any kind (including bone conducting) are not permitted. The race is run on roads that are not closed to traffic. It is imperative that you can hear traffic and marshal instructions.

Buggies and dogs :     Running with buggies or dogs is not permitted.

Bag drop :        Please note – there will be no bag drop at the race.  Please therefore only bring / wear what you will be carrying during the race.  We take no responsibility for belongings left at Race HQ or in your vehicles.

Refreshments :            Tea, coffee and cakes will be available at Race HQ in return for a donation for our chosen charity this year (TBC).

Toilets :             Portable toilets will be available in the car park at Central Hall - Please note that there will be no access to the toilets inside Central Hall on this occasion. Additional toilets should be available, as you head to the start line, at the entrance of the Market Street car park. ( What3words reference : wobbling.dollar.direct )

Prizes :              Trophies will be awarded for a variety of age categories and will be given out on the day with full results posted later in the day.
