We are excited to host our first ever Amberwood Amble.

 

This is a virtual event during October 2026 for you to walk, run or wheel yourself to a half marathon (13.1 miles/21.1km), whilst raising money for Amberwood Animal Sanctuary in Oxfordshire.

 

You can do the half marathon on the route of your choice in one go, or spread the 13.1 miles over multiple walks, runs or wheelings. You can complete the half marathon any time between 1^st to 31^st October 2026,

 

Your entry fee includes a bespoke wooden Amberwood medal (if opted for). 

 

Once you have completed your run, walk or wheel, simply log back into the Total Race Timing website and manually put in your finishing time along with a link to your Strava or Garmin if you wish (last run, walk, wheel if you do more than one).

 

Medals will be posted in November, after you have completed your 13.1 miles and recorded your time with Total Race Timing.

 

The entry fee is £15, and all profit will be donated directly to Amberwood Animal Sanctuary, minus the booking fees, medal and postage costs (if opted for). You can choose to not have a medal and more of the entry fee will go to Amberwood Animal Sanctuary (£3 plus postage & packing).

 

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

All entrants complete the 13.1 miles at their own risk so please stay safe. 

 

Under 16s can take part in the Amberwood Amble but must be supervised by an adult.

 

Hi-Viz and additional lights are advisable if you are going to be near or crossing roads or outside in low light. Choose the safest time of day to take part based on weather conditions, let someone know the route you are taking if alone, and consider buddying up to take part in the event with friends.
